We need a bio-revolution and it is impossible to carry it out without the biotechnology sector, with a strong commitment to R&I. An investigation that must be applied, directly aimed at the market and for the benefit of the consumer”, he added. Rodríguez-Villa pointed out that a powerful industrial transformation must be facilitated with agile administrative processes regarding the evaluation and approval of products that have been previously and sufficiently tested.
Regarding the next celebration of BioSpain 2021, Rodríguez-Villa pointed out that this event should send a clear and optimistic message: “It is time to look to the future and change the production and coexistence model. Biotechnology is the ideal tool for the transformation that Europe needs. BioSpain must focus on the opportunities that Spain offers to lead this change from the industrial model to one that is more efficient, profitable and sustainable”.
