BioAg Asia 2022: AlgaEnergy wins Best Biostimulant product and BioAg CEO awards

AlgaEnergy attended, on 20-21st April 2022, to the event BioAg Asia 2022 organised by the Agriculture Today Group. The event incorporated rounds of discussion on several important topics, with panel of experts in different fields from farming, industry, research, and academics. The event counted with the presence of Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, GOI as Chief Guest along with Dr. William Dar, Honourable Minister of Agriculture, Philippines, and Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Honourable Vice Chairman, NITI Ayog.
As part of the program, AlgaEnergy was awarded as 'Best Biostimulant Products' in BioAg Asia 2022 for developing innovative biostimulants to combat abiotic stresses and increase crop productivity. The award was received by Dr. Douglas Ry Wagner, President, Agribusiness of AlgaEnergy.
AlgaEnergy’s Vice President for Asia-Pacific, Debabrata Sarkar was also recognized as the BioAg CEO award for his exceptional leadership and his significant contributions to the growth of MicroAlgae Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. and promoting and increasing awareness of bio-agriculture business in India. Mr. Sarkar was recognized for his commitment with consistency and quality for the business.
Dr. Douglas Ry Wagner, President of Agribusiness, participated in the panel session for the discussion of the global opportunities for India in bio-agriculture market. In his participation, he stated: “AlgaEnergy was honored to participate in BioAg Asia 2022, joining many distinguished guests and key policy makers to offer insights about the markets and our unique natural products that are helping to drive the rapid expansion of biological-based agriculture in India and the region”. We are proud to support this effort by bringing our innovative and highest quality natural bio-based products to these very important markets”, concluded Mr. Wagner after the panel.
AlgaEnergy’s Vice President of Asia-Pacific, Mr. Debabrata Sarkar participated in the panel titled Successful innovations in bio-inputs for Asian Market. Mr. Sarkar commented: “We are proud of being participating in person in BioAg Asia 2022.It was motivating for us to receive this recognition in such a platform as BioAg Asia is". “I can say this will surely keep us determined to provide more and more innovative solutions to the farming community in India as well as other parts of the globe. AlgaEnergy is continuously working on developing advanced technologies to all our customers and partners.” Concluded Debabrata.
After success with microalgae-based products, AlgaEnergy is working in developing a complete portfolio of products to cover the whole input chain. It will incorporate products for the soil, post-harvest protection and biocontrol products, all of them based in innovative technologies and following the objective of bringing sustainable, natural, and affordable solutions to the field and the growers.
