AlgaEnergy’s clients are proud of being so and want to highlight to the end consumer the superior quality of their food products, result of having used the biotechnology company's microalgae-based biostimulants.
As witnesses of the economic, qualitative and environmental benefits that AlgaEnergy's biostimulants offer, some well-known companies in the agri-food sector have decided to highlight to the end consumers that the food products they consume have been produced using AlgaEnergy’s agricultural biological solutions.
To this end, a new certifying logo has been developed as a seal of superior quality, which is integrated distinctively but aesthetically attractive into the labels of the final consumer products. The objective is therefore to inform the end consumers that the agricultural products they consume have followed a biostimulation plan with AgriAlgae®’s microalgae-derived inputs. This initiative is very much in line with the social and regulatory trends, as well as the European Green Deal, which all demand greater transparency, safety, quality and sustainability in the production chain of our food.
Among the agricultural producers that have already started to use this seal there are different tomato producing organizations with Designation of Origin, companies and cooperatives of extra virgin olive oil, fruits and vegetables cooperatives, as well as different brands of recognized international prestige.
With the creation of this seal, the biotechnology company not only responds to the demand of its agricultural clients who want to offer an increasing added-value to their customers, but also demonstrates once again its innovative nature and leadership to develop the sector, contributing to increase the awareness about biostimulants benefits and valorize the agri-food sector.
This commitment is based on the company's purpose to develop and introduce environmental-friendly farming practices without compromising the farmer's competitiveness, but quite the opposite. Not in vain, AgriAlgae® is the only biostimulant in the world that has deserved the prestigious Solar Impulse certification, which attests it is a solution that bridges environmental sustainability with economic profitability.
Connect producer and end consumer
In recent years AlgaEnergy has been promoting initiatives to increase the interaction between producers and final consumers, in order to increase visibility and awareness about biostimulants and their important benefits to sustainably, producing more food with higher quality, positively impacting on peoples’ health.
In fact, AlgaEnergy has been selected by the members of the European Biostimulants Industry Council (EBIC) to co-lead, together with the multinational companies Syngenta and Novozymes, two of the working groups responsible of implementing the European strategy ‘Farm to Fork’.
Regarding the creation of this new seal, Carlos Rodríguez-Villa, Managing Director of AlgaEnergy, has indicated that “the creation of this seal responds to the demand of those farmers and food production companies who wanted to be able to transparently transmit to their end consumers that, the food products they purchase, have been produced with the highest regard for quality standards as well as the environmental sustainability, through the adoption of innovative solutions in its production phase”.
Following an extensive restructuring, AlgaEnergy is proud to partner with DE SANGOSSE Group through a soon to be finalized deal that will enable a concentrated focus on its agricultural markets. Previous business verticals including cosmetics, bioenergy, aquaculture and nutraceuticals will be discontinued, allowing a single-minded focus on solutions for agricultural markets, specifically agribiological inputs (biostimulants, biofertilizers and biocontrol).25 May, 2023
