Metabolic syndrome, the so-called epidemic of the 21st Century, comprises a group of pathological conditions that possibly lead to heart disease and Type 2 Diabetes.

The products developed in METASIN, with AlgaEnergy's microalgae as a functional ingredient, will be a natural alternative to the treatment of metabolic syndrome.
